Drydock: USCGC Charles Sexton FY25 DD   3

Background
The U.S. Coast Guard is issuing a solicitation for drydock repairs of the USCGC CHARLES SEXTON (WPC-1108) as part of their ongoing maintenance and operational readiness efforts. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the vessel remains in optimal condition for its missions.

The home pier for the vessel is located at 100 Trumbo Point Rd, Key West, FL 33040.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide a facility accessible from a navigable waterway where the vessel can safely arrive, lie afloat, and depart at all states of the tide at any time of day or night. The facility must have a minimum water depth of 12 feet and a minimum height clearance of 60 feet.

Specific tasks include:
- Conducting drydock repairs as outlined in the attached specifications.
- Implementing temporary measures to maintain fire detection/alarm systems during repairs, including installation of contractor-furnished systems and ensuring proper notification protocols for fire emergencies.
- Addressing anticipated breaches of the cutter's Fire Protection Boundaries due to hull access cuts and other impacts from vessel work, with appropriate risk mitigation strategies such as removal of cables/hoses and installation of temporary fire curtains.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from September 9, 2025, to January 6, 2026, subject to availability of funds.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at a facility accessible from a navigable waterway that meets specified requirements.
