Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail)
This opportunity appears to have a closely related prior contract with Curtin Maritime under N4008525C0050 for FY25/26 maintenance dredging in the Norfolk, Virginia AOR, including bucket dredging of mud and silt with incidental related work at multiple piers. The current scope similarly involves clamshell/bucket dredging and placement of dredged material via scow/barge near shore areas, followed by ancillary work to create berm areas at JEB Little Creek Fuel Pier and Anzio Beach Sandbar and at JEB Fort Story Utah Beach Sandbar. While the locations and end use (berm creation) differ, the core dredging method and type of material and installation-level waterfront work are consistent with a continuation of the same dredging function.
