United States Coast Guard Civil Engineering Unit (CEU) Providence announces a requirement for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for: Dredge Boat Basin USCG Station New Haven

This solicitation is being advertised as a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside.

The Northern American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990.

The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 20 June 2024. The procurement method is Sealed Bidding, FAR Part 14. The offeror is responsible to monitor and download any amendments for the solicitation from the Contract Opportunities (https://sam.gov) website.

A bid due date of approximately 23 July 2024 is anticipated for the subject project.

Project Description:

The project consists of the base bid and (0) options.

Base Bid Work: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal for maintenance dredging at the USCG Station New Haven Boat Basin, New Haven, Connecticut. The dredge quantity is estimated to be approximately 7,500 cubic yards.

Dredging shall be performed by mechanical means to the horizontal and vertical limits shown on the Drawings. Disposal of the dredge material shall be off-site at an upland disposal facility in accordance with the State and Federal Permits (Appendix A). The Contractor is responsible for identifying and retaining a disposal facility to accept the dredge sediment. The allowable dredge window to be required by the State and Federal permits is anticipated to be between November 1 and January 31. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with the project specifications (PSN 10612900), project drawings, all local, State, and Federal Codes. and all required permitting

Period of Performance: The period of performance for the project is 140 calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. Applicable permits do not allow work between 1 November and 31 January of any calendar year. All dredging and disposal work shall be completed no later than January 24.

Contract Magnitude: The magnitude of this construction project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 IAW FAR 36.204.
