Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing this contract for the construction of a new drainage basin at the Mansfield Hollow Dam in Mansfield Center, CT. The goal of this contract is to improve water management by constructing a drainage basin that will handle outflow from parking lot drains. This project is set aside for small business vendors, with an estimated construction magnitude between $25,000 and $100,000.

Work Details
The work consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor to construct a new drainage basin in the outflow area of existing parking lot drains. Specific tasks include:
- Excavation of existing material
- Inlaying erosion prevention material
- Installation of a gravel base layer
- Final top layer of small rip rap stone.

All work must comply with applicable federal, state, and municipal laws, codes, and regulations. Prior to commencing work, the contractor must submit various documents including an Accident Prevention Plan Worksheet (ENG Form 6293), Activity Hazard Analysis (ENG Form 6206), Site Safety and Health Officer Designation Letter (ENG Form 6282), First Aid and CPR Certificates, product specifications & SDS sheets.

The period of performance for this contract is 180 days from the date of contract award.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be small business vendors with an active registration at the time of submission. Bidders are required to have necessary licenses and permits for the work and must prepare a site-specific Accident Prevention Plan written by a Competent Person. Additionally, they must provide documentation regarding their experience as prime contractors or subcontractors on federal contracts.
