Draft RFP Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Engineering Support (SCES)

Background
The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Acquisition Directorate Program Executive Office Transport (PEO Transport) is initiating a procurement action for Satellite Communications Engineering Services (SCES) as a consolidation effort under 15 U.S.C. 657q.

Work Details
The SCES procurement aims to consolidate parts of three existing contracts to improve systems engineering and test support for SATCOM and related capabilities. Key tasks include:
1. Providing integrated systems engineering support for the newly converged Teleport Program Office, which includes responsibilities for the Modernized Teleport System (MTS).
2. Ensuring continuity of services and consistent quality across deliverables by having a single contractor manage the work.
3. Reducing administrative burdens by aligning multiple periods of performance into one task order, thereby alleviating confusion and ensuring proper monitoring.
4. Conducting testing support services that align with the new requirements while eliminating redundancies from previous contracts.
