Description

This is a DRAFT Request for Proposal.

The Law Enforcement Safety and Compliance Directorate (LESC), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is releasing a Draft, request for proposals (RFP) 70B06C23R00000071. The attached DRAFT RFP being developed is to support the prospective acquisition of Modular Precision Weapon Platform (MPWP) in support of the mission of officers and agents within CBP, as well as other agencies both within and outside of DHS.

This DRAFT RFP does not constitute a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request does not commit the Government to contract for any supplies whatsoever. Further, CBP is not at this time seeking Proposals and will not accept unsolicited Proposals. The Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this announcement. All costs associated with responding will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this announcement does not preclude participation in any future solicitation, if any is issued. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor the site for additional information pertaining to this requirement.

Background
The Law Enforcement Safety and Compliance Directorate (LESC), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is releasing a Draft, request for proposals (RFP) 70B06C23R00000071. The attached DRAFT RFP being developed is to support the prospective acquisition of Modular Precision Weapon Platform (MPWP) in support of the mission of officers and agents within CBP, as well as other agencies both within and outside of DHS.

Work Details
This acquisition will be conducted using the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 15. This solicitation will result in a single award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Modular Precision Weapon Platform requirement. The minimum guarantee of the contract is $10,000. The maximum amount of supplies that may be ordered over the life of the anticipated contracts will not exceed a total of $5,500,000.

The ordering period of the anticipated contract is date of award through 60 months from date of award (5 years total). Delivery Orders (DO) may have a delivery date of 12 months beyond the last day of the contract’s ordering period. A DO may be placed against the anticipated contract on or before the last day of the contract’s ordering period.

Period of Performance
The term of this contract shall be five (5) years from date of award.

Place of Performance
The geographic location(s) for performance include relevant components within and outside of DHS such as U.S. Customs and Border Protection, US Secret Service, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, US Coast Guard, US Marshal Service, and Other Federal Agencies.
