DPW Fire Detection and Suppression

Background
The contract is issued by the Department of Public Works (DPW) for Carlisle Barracks and the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center, located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The mission of this contract is to ensure the safety of building occupants and protect government assets through the maintenance and inspection of fire protection systems. The goal is to maintain compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) requirements.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary certification, labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to perform Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) on fire protection suppression and detection systems. Specific tasks include:
1. Performing '5 year' and '2 year' ITM tasks as per UFC Tables.
2. Following guidance from NFPA codes for tasks not covered under UFC 3-601-02.
3. Maintaining fire detection and alarm systems, mass notification systems, carbon monoxide detection systems, dry/wet chemical systems, fire pumps, automatic sprinkler systems, emergency lighting systems, and more as specified in UFC 3-601-02.
4. Submitting an annual schedule of services to be performed under scheduled UFC ITM Tables.
5. Maintaining detailed records of all inspections and tests performed on each facility.
6. Providing emergency services on an 'on-call' basis with a technician responding within two hours of notification.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a base year starting from November 1, 2024, to October 31, 2025, with options for additional years.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Carlisle Barracks and the Army Heritage Education Center in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
