DOT FTA - Business Operations Specialist Support - MRAS

The United States Department of Transportation (DOT), through the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), is conducting market research to identify capable vendors for providing business operations specialist support. This initiative is facilitated by the General Services Administration (GSA) as part of their ongoing efforts to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness within federal transit systems nationwide. The FTA, a key agency under the DOT, plays a crucial role in supporting various public transit systems, including buses, subways, and ferries. With an annual investment exceeding $21 billion, FTA's mission extends to ensuring safety and fostering innovation in transit services.

The primary objective of this solicitation is to secure professional business operations support services across four specific FTA offices located in Atlanta, Chicago, Kansas City, and Washington D.C. The selected Business Operations Specialists will be tasked with supporting senior office leadership by managing executive functions and facilitating critical administrative tasks. These specialists will play a pivotal role in maintaining efficient office operations by coordinating meetings, managing calendars, tracking action items, and overseeing communication channels both internally and externally.

To qualify for these roles, candidates must possess at least five years of relevant experience in business operations support without requiring day-to-day supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace software is essential alongside strong organizational skills such as attention to detail and multitasking abilities. The specialists will also be expected to handle sensitive information with discretion while maintaining high standards of professionalism in all communications.

This RFI/Sources Sought notice aims to gather detailed capability statements from interested vendors who have demonstrated experience similar in scope and complexity as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). Vendors are encouraged to provide comprehensive information about their past performance related to similar contracts within the last three years along with details about their corporate experience that aligns with the requirements specified by FTA.
