The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) is seeking an experienced CliftonStrengths facilitator to coordinate and deliver two half-day team building events for two organizations within the Center. The purpose of these events is to build stronger team dynamics, improve team morale, decrease conflict, improve communication, and increase collaboration within existing work teams at the Volpe Center. The scope of work includes administering the CliftonStrengths Top Five assessment to all team members, analyzing assessment results, meeting with each group's manager individually to gain additional knowledge on group dynamics, developing event plans and agendas, delivering the team building program, and providing a written summation of group results and recommendations for knowledge transfer on the job. The period of performance for this delivery order is from award through 15 September 2023 or two months after delivery order award, whichever is soonest. The place of performance will be in-person, onsite at the Volpe Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

This opportunity is being pursued by the Volpe Center to support the professional training and development of its workforce. The majority of Volpe Center staff are located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with approximately 20% approved for fully remote work and others enjoying a flexible telework policy. As a result, the ability to work effectively as a team member in a mostly web-based environment is critical for employees at all levels and across all professional functions. The CliftonStrengths team building event is expected to help improve team dynamics, morale, communication, and collaboration within existing work teams.

The CliftonStrengths facilitator will be responsible for administering the CliftonStrengths Top Five assessment to all team members in two separate groups: one virtual (online) session for 37 team members and one classroom (in-person) session for 13 team members. The assessment results will be analyzed to provide written analysis on group results. Prior to the team building events, the facilitator will meet with each group's manager individually to gain additional knowledge on group dynamics. The facilitator will then develop event plans and agendas, as well as program materials. The team building program will be delivered for a total of 6 hours (3 hours virtual and 3 hours classroom) for the two separate organizations within the Volpe Center. Within 3 business days of each event, the facilitator will send a written summation of group results, observations of group dynamics during the event, and recommendations to help participants apply their learning on the job.

Overall, this opportunity aims to enhance team dynamics and collaboration within the Volpe Center by leveraging the CliftonStrengths assessment tool. The facilitator will play a crucial role in administering the assessment, analyzing results, developing event plans and materials, and delivering the team building program. The period of performance for this delivery order is until 15 September 2023 or two months after delivery order award, whichever is soonest. The place of performance will be in-person, onsite at the Volpe Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
