DOS - Preventive maintenance of switchgears/transformers - MRAS

The General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Department of State (DOS), is conducting market research to identify qualified contractors capable of providing preventive maintenance services for electrical switchgear systems at the United States Embassy in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. By maintaining the electrical switchgear systems, the embassy aims to prevent system malfunctions, breakdowns, and deterioration during operation.

The scope of work requires contractors to perform comprehensive preventive maintenance on various components of the embassy's electrical systems. This includes power-conducting equipment such as switches, circuit breakers, and fuses, as well as control systems like control panels, current transformers, and protective relays. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, tools, materials, and supervision required to execute these tasks effectively. Additionally, they must ensure that all personnel adhere to safety protocols while performing their duties.

Contractors are expected to verify that government-provided service manuals for switchgears are complete and up-to-date. Any discrepancies should be reported to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). After each maintenance visit, a typewritten report detailing completed tasks must be submitted within five business days. Furthermore, contractors must supply Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for any hazardous materials used during maintenance activities.

This solicitation highlights specific equipment that requires maintenance: NEC switchgear SIMOSEC CS2 and several Switch Boards SB3 with varying amperages (600 A, 800 A, and 1200 A).
