Doors and Lock Installation and Drywall Repairs

Background
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement to convert the 2nd deck of Building 1602 into an open storage area. This solicitation is issued for Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, and it is a total small business set-aside. The goal of the contract is to facilitate the installation of doors, a cypher lock, and drywall repairs necessary for this conversion.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform the following tasks:

1. Install two (2) hollow metal Sound Transmission Class (STC) frames provided in 16 GA.

2. Install two (2) flush hollow metal doors in 18 GA, STC 50, outfitted with LKM 10K locksets and door closers; doors should be primer finished only.

3. Install one (1) mechanical push button cypher lock with a single access code and exit trim lever.

4. Patch all areas of drywall above the ceiling tiles along the entire length of the front boundary wall for room A202, approximately 47 feet long.

5. Fill gaps with fire foam/fire caulk around pipes, ducting, and other openings.

6. Apply a smooth layer of drywall compound (minimum of two coats) on the wall above ceiling tiles to ensure a smooth finish at the ceiling corner joint above the drop ceiling.

7. Remove all debris, materials, and supplies upon completion of work.
