DOL - Trash Removal & Recycling Svcs. - Triadelphia WV

Background
The Department of Labor (DOL) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price type contract for Trash Removal and Recycling Services located at the Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA) Academy located in Triadelphia, West Virginia. The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Approval & Certification Center (A&CC) is responsible for the approval and certification of certain mining products for use in underground coal and gassy underground metal and nonmetal mines. The A&CC performs other technical functions in support of MSHA's programs, including investigation of field complaints, litigation assistance/expert witnesses, accident investigations, enforcement support, training, development/revision of Federal standards and regulations, research assistance, and hazard recognition/accident prevention.

Work Details
The contract requires trash removal of 6 cubic yard and 4 cubic yard dumpsters as well as recycling removal services for 6 cubic yard recycling dumpsters. The work consists of furnishing all necessary labor, equipment, containers, loading, unloading, removal, hauling and disposal of debris and waste material from four buildings. The rubbish consists of combustible and noncombustible materials such as paper, wrappings, carbon, metal, floor sweepings, grass cuttings and tree trimmings.
Recyclables consist of cardboard and paper products. The contractor is responsible for providing proper disposal of all items collected including obtaining and paying for dump-fill privileges if necessary.
Regularly scheduled trash and recyclable removal shall be according to the table between the workdays of Monday through Friday excluding Federal Holidays between the hours of 6 a.m. and 5 p.m.
