Description

The General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Department of Justice (DOJ), is conducting market research to gather information regarding hosting infrastructure services for mobile applications and Mobile Data Management (MDM) production. This effort is part of a broader initiative to enhance the DOJ's technological capabilities by leveraging cloud-based solutions. The goal is to ensure robust, secure, and efficient hosting environments that can support critical DOJ applications and services.

The work requested involves comprehensive cloud service management using Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure across two geographic sites: AWS EAST with AWS Guard and AWS WEST with redundancy, failover, and AWS Guard. Contractors are expected to provide services such as setup, installation, configuration, management, upgrading, and migration of application servers and database storage. Additionally, they will offer licensing support from cloud service providers for various software products.

The contractor will also be responsible for providing hosting solutions for non-core services deemed necessary by the Mission Partner Organization (MPO). This includes device support for mobile applications, message archival systems, mobile backend-as-a-service offerings, custom application environments, and core cloud services. Contractors must ensure scalable storage capacity in line with FBI requirements while offering 24/7/365 support.

Security is a major focus area; hence the contractor must deploy security patches on hardware and software while ensuring compliance with Authority to Operate (ATO) standards. Responsibilities include integrating monitoring tools like Splunk or Palantir into the system architecture. The contractor should possess experience in executing projects involving supply, installation, testing, commissioning operations & maintenance related to application building & cloud services on government systems.
