DOJ BOP - SAP Business Intelligence Consultant - MRAS

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Department of Justice (DOJ) and specifically the Bureau Of Prisons, is conducting market research to identify capabilities for an upcoming requirement related to SAP Business Intelligence (BI). This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the technological infrastructure within DOJ's UNICOR division, which is responsible for overseeing various enterprise applications. The ultimate goal is to ensure robust support and development capabilities for critical systems such as S4HANA, SAP ECC 6.0, and SAP BI 7.4.

The contract seeks a Principal SAP BI Consultant who will provide Tier II and Tier III support for these applications. The consultant will be tasked with a range of responsibilities including analysis, definition, development, implementation, integration, and maintenance of front-end reports and dashboards. Working closely with business groups and IT leaders within UNICOR, the consultant must possess a deep understanding of UNICOR's business operations and processes to effectively design solutions using advanced S4HANA technologies.

The scope of work involves designing complex reporting solutions utilizing tools such as HANA Studio, CDS Views, Analytic Query, AMDPs, Bex Query Designer, Analysis for Office/OLAP/Web Intelligence platforms among others. The candidate should also be proficient in creating dashboards and engaging in data extraction from both SAP and non-SAP data sources using standard extractors alongside development tools. Additionally, expertise in SAP ABAP programming with BI components like data modeling (star schema), master data management (ODS), cube design in BI environments along with performance tuning during data loading processes are crucial aspects of this role.
