The Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project (NGWSP) in New Mexico is seeking a contractor to perform revegetation work on reaches 9-11 of the project. The revegetation is necessary due to either the omission of seeding from the initial construction contracts or the lack of success in previous revegetation attempts. The work includes general program management and coordination with the Bureau of Reclamation. The NGWSP is a large-scale water supply project authorized for construction in 2009, with construction and environmental requirements expected to extend through 2024 and beyond. The revegetation plan aims to restore disturbed areas to a productive seral stage that approximates pre-disturbance conditions. The contractor will be responsible for tasks such as soils and site preparation, seeding/mulching, and program management and coordination. The period of performance is from the date of award through December 31, 2024, with a preference for completion by the end of 2023 if materials are available. Performance standards include completing site preparation for seeding in at least 98% of the project area and seeding all project areas according to specifications.
