ID: RFQ1741743 • Alt ID: R_Gtcg9EWA9H39iXr • Type: Sources Sought

Description

The General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Department of the Interior (DOI), is conducting market research to support the development and maintenance of critical systems related to fire management. The DOI is focused on enhancing its capabilities in managing fire occurrences through the Interagency Fire Occurrence Reporting Modules (InFORM) and the Interior Fuels & Post-Fire Reporting System (IFPRS). These systems play a vital role in tracking, reporting, and analyzing fire data, which is crucial for effective decision-making and resource allocation in managing natural resources and protecting public lands.

The work requested involves several key components: Development, Modernization, & Enhancement (DME); Operations & Maintenance (O&M); and Transition/Migration of both InFORM and IFPRS. The DME efforts are aimed at improving existing functionalities, integrating new technologies, and ensuring that these systems meet current operational demands. This includes updating software systems to enhance user experience, improve data accuracy, and ensure seamless integration with other relevant databases.

Operations & Maintenance tasks focus on ensuring that both InFORM and IFPRS are running smoothly without interruptions. This includes routine system checks, troubleshooting issues as they arise, providing technical support to users, and implementing necessary upgrades. Additionally, there will be a need for Transition/Migration work to ensure that any changes or enhancements made during the modernization phase are effectively integrated into existing workflows without disrupting ongoing operations.
