Description

```html
The Department of the Interior (DOI), through the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to facilitate a significant relocation project for the Bureau of Reclamation. The project involves moving critical data center infrastructure from the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Denver Datacenter to the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Datacenter in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The primary goal is to ensure a seamless transition while maintaining operational integrity and enhancing disaster recovery capabilities, as the current BLM datacenter is slated for closure due to reliability concerns.
The scope of work entails a comprehensive two-phase approach focusing on both network and hosting infrastructure. In Phase 1, key networking components such as Cisco Nexus switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and F5 devices will be relocated. Phase 2 will involve migrating hosting infrastructure, including ExaGrids and Nutanix Nodes. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is properly packed according to certified mover specifications and reinstalled in alignment with manufacturer guidelines at the new location.
To ensure a successful transition, a one-day workshop will be conducted by the contractor in collaboration with USBR team members. This workshop will cover critical topics such as network redeployment, ISP transition logistics, application dependencies, and rack elevation planning. Prior site surveys at both locations will confirm rack elevations and cable mapping documentation while preparing new racks for equipment installation.
Throughout the migration process, contractors will assist with equipment shutdowns following best practices and facilitate physical transport to Albuquerque. Upon arrival at the new datacenter, they will oversee hardware installation into designated racks and validate connectivity across all systems. Additional services include reconfiguring Nutanix Protection Policies for data replication between Sacramento and Albuquerque locations as well as updating IP addresses for Nutanix Nodes and ExaGrid Appliances to align with new subnet requirements.
