DOI - BOR - Aerial Imagery Services and LiDAR Surveys - MRAS

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Department of the Interior (DOI), is conducting market research to assess capabilities related to providing aerial imagery and LiDAR elevation data acquisition and processing services. This initiative is aimed at supporting the Bureau of Reclamation's (Reclamation) project infrastructure location and alignment decisions for the Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project (NGWSP). The primary focus is on assessing the Shiprock Connection and Shumway Arroyo Option, which are critical components in determining the optimal infrastructure layout for this significant water supply project.

The work being requested involves professional services for acquiring high-resolution aerial imagery and LiDAR data. These services are essential for generating accurate topographical maps and 3D models that will aid in evaluating potential routes and alignments for waterline infrastructure within Interior Region 7, specifically targeting areas within the Upper Colorado Basin. The collected data will be crucial in facilitating informed decision-making processes regarding environmental impacts, engineering feasibility, and overall project planning.

In addition to data acquisition, respondents must demonstrate their capability to process this information effectively. This includes transforming raw LiDAR data into usable formats that can be integrated into existing geographic information systems (GIS) used by Reclamation. The processed data will provide detailed insights into terrain features, enabling precise assessments of construction challenges, environmental considerations, and logistical requirements associated with implementing the NGWSP.
