Background
The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is a Federally operated school system, responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing pre-kindergarten through 12th grade educational programs on behalf of the Department of Defense (DOD). DoDEA is globally positioned, operating 160 accredited schools in eight districts located in 11 countries, 7 states, to include the territories of Guam, and Puerto Rico. Work Details
The contractor is required to provide leased vehicles for student transportation services in Okinawa, Japan. The vehicles include 67 school buses (47-53 passenger), ten micro buses (18-24 passenger), three micro buses with wheelchair lifts (14-20 passenger), and one tour bus (49 passenger). The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, materials, parts, tools, and equipment necessary to perform all maintenance required to ensure safe operability of all leased buses. This includes scheduled maintenance such as oil and filter changes, tire rotation, tune-ups, replacement of hoses and belts, brake service industry standards; unscheduled maintenance such as rust/corrosion, power plant, power train, electrical systems; corrective maintenance for which the Government is at fault/liable; and repairs for normal wear and tear. The contractor must also provide suitable capacity replacement buses within two hours of notification for all buses that are out of commission due to maintenance or repair.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract ranges from August 1st, 2022 to January 31st, 2028.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed in Okinawa, Japan.
