Description

*** SPANGDAHLEM SPECIAL NEEDS (SPED) ***

The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) intends to award on a competitive basis, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 15, a single Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Spangdahlem Student Special Needs (SPED) Transportation Services, DoDEA-Europe West District. Services will be for a potential 5-year period, which includes a Base Period of one (1) year and four (4) one-year Option Periods, with an additional 6-months service in accordance with FAR 52.217-8.

Background
The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is seeking to award a competitive contract for Special Needs Student Transportation Services (STS) at the Spangdahlem School Complex in Germany.

The contract aims to provide essential transportation services for special needs students, ensuring their safe and reliable transit to and from school. This initiative aligns with DoDEA's mission to support the educational needs of military-connected students and their families.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide Special Needs Student Transportation Services (STS) in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The services include:
- Transporting students with special needs using vehicles that accommodate various passenger capacities, including vans for 1-6 passengers and wheelchair-accessible vans.
- Providing safety aides during transportation as required by the PWS.
