The Remote Control Units (RCU) Program is seeking a producibility analysis for the Z-ANP variant of RCUs. RCUs are non-cryptographic devices used to remotely control VINSON/ANDVT Cryptographic Modernization End Cryptographic Units (ECUs). The objective of the program is to augment diminishing supplies of existing legacy RCUs. The scope of the analysis includes verifying the Department of Energy (DOE) design, determining production cost estimates and timelines, identifying potential cost savings, and delivering one RCU device. The period of performance is expected to be within 3 months for development.

The government will provide the necessary documentation and information, including the Z-ANP Remote Control Unit, Technical Data Package (TDP), and System Requirements Document (SRD). The analysis should confirm compatibility with existing Z-ANP inventory in terms of form, fit, and function. The government aims to work closely with the contractor throughout the program, maintaining maximum insight into their schedule and analysis efforts through formal and informal meetings.

Upon completion of the analysis, the contractor is required to deliver one RCU device built from the provided documentation. They should also provide a detailed bill of materials with "should cost" estimates and production timelines. Additionally, any recommendations for cost-saving measures, such as component changes or production streamlining, should be included in the deliverables.
