DOD - Homeland Air Defense (HADS) - MRAS

The Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC) Mission Systems Branch, A6OC, is seeking support for Homeland Air Defense Systems. The purpose of this task order is to provide managerial, technical, and life cycle management support for HQ ACC's Homeland Air Defense Command and Control (C2) systems and radar/sensor systems. The work includes evaluating issues associated with battle management data, reviewing testing documentation for hardware/software upgrades, participating in validation/verification reviews of new technical orders, and providing technical expertise and logistics support for modernization initiatives. The timeframe of the acquisition is from January 2024 to December 2029, with options for extension. The place of performance is Langley Air Force Base, VA.

The task order consists of two main tasks: BATTLE CONTROL CENTER (BCC) C3 SUPPORT and ATMOSPHERIC EARLY WARNING SYSTEMS (AEWS) SUPPORT. Under the BCC C3 Support task, the contractor will provide technical expertise, logistics, and life cycle management support for the AN/FYQ-156A Battle Control System (BCS) and other related systems. They will also support the National Capitol Region – Integrated Air Defense (NCR-IADS) Air Force Joint Air Defense Operations Center (JADOC) component and the Wide Area Surveillance (WAS) program.

Under the AEWS Support task, the contractor will provide technical expertise, logistics, and life cycle management support for AEWS radars and other related systems. This includes supporting the Alaska Radar System (ARS), North Warning System (NWS), and other radar programs. They will also provide technical support for Combat Identification System implementation and electromagnetic interference analysis.

The contractor must have experience in Homeland Air Defense mission support, modification program management, cybersecurity policies, communications-electronics maintenance, and program or project management. They must also have a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance or be eligible to obtain one.

Overall, this task order provides an opportunity for a contractor to support HQ ACC in managing and modernizing their Homeland Air Defense C2 systems and radar/sensor systems. The work will span several years and will be performed at Langley Air Force Base, VA.
