Documentation of Historic Campgrounds

-Conduct intensive (Class III) pedestrian field inventory of the following historic campgrounds and day use areas located on the Pagosa and Columbine Ranger Districts. -Evaluate each campground for its eligibility to the National Register of Historic Places. - Revisit and reevaluate/rerecord the following previously recorded sites which are located near or within a campground. If appropriate, combine previously recorded sites into campground documentation package. Use lowest Smithsonian Number when combining sites. -Document 6 previously located but undocumented culturally modified trees (CMT). Specific locations will be provided to the contractor at the pre-work meeting. All are within the Teal Campground and will be included in the Teal Campground documentation package. - Produce a Section 106 compliance report for the inventory in accordance with Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (OAHP) guidelines. - Complete appropriate Colorado Cultural Resource Survey site and isolate forms in accordance with Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (OAHP) guidelines, including management recommendations concerning proposed activities within or near each site. - Cultural resource survey of each campground and day use area will be conducted on all acres as designated within the project boundary provided to the contractor.
