Background
The US Coast Guard (USCG) is issuing this solicitation for dockside repairs of the USCGC HERIBERTO HERNANDEZ (WPC 1114) for fiscal year 2026. The goal of this contract is to ensure the vessel is maintained and operational, adhering to safety and performance standards as required by the Coast Guard.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary supplies and services for dockside repairs on the USCGC HERIBERTO HERNANDEZ. This includes but is not limited to:
- Conducting major repairs and installations on the vessel, ensuring compliance with all specifications and safety regulations.
- Submitting welding documentation in accordance with SFLC Standard Specification 0740, including welding procedure specifications (WPS), welder certification documentation, and continuity documentation.
- Developing a Fire Safety Plan that addresses fire detection, alarm, and response requirements, including temporary measures to maintain safety during repairs.
- Inspecting the site where services are to be performed to understand local conditions affecting contract performance.
- Providing a project planning document that outlines the critical path and sequence of work items.
- Ensuring quality control throughout the repair process.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from July 14, 2026, to August 11, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the vessel's home pier located at 5 Calle La Puntilla, San Juan, PR 34949.
