DOC NIST - Physical Access Controls System Maintenance - MRAS

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Department of Commerce (DOC), is conducting market research to support the maintenance of the Physical Access Control System (PACS) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) campus in Boulder, Colorado. This initiative is managed by the Emergency Services Office (ESO) Security Systems and Access Controls Group (SSAC-G), which is responsible for ensuring robust security solutions for the campus. The primary goal of this contract is to ensure that all components of the Velocity software and associated hardware are maintained effectively, ensuring seamless operation and security at the facility.

The work requested involves comprehensive maintenance services for both software and hardware components related to PACS. This includes maintaining Clustered Solution servers, Velocity software packages, HIRSCH components, as well as implementing necessary software updates for Velocity and SQL Servers, alongside firmware updates for various components. The contractor will be responsible for performing regular on-site maintenance visits at 325 Broadway, Boulder, Colorado, where they will ensure that all systems are correctly configured and operational.

Key responsibilities under this contract include providing professional engineering support to resolve any reported issues or known troubles with PACS operations. The contractor will also need to verify network connectivity to servers and panels, check Windows Event Viewer logs for errors, ensure adequate disk space for site access information storage, verify Windows group membership on all nodes, and monitor SQL Server jobs for failures. Additionally, they must document procedures taken to resolve issues or explain why certain errors cannot or should not be resolved.
