DMP FLEX 200 Direct Metal Laser Sintering 3D printer manufactured by 3D Systems Inc

Background
This contract is a sole source requirement for the DMP FLEX 200 Direct Metal Laser Sintering 3D printer manufactured by 3D Systems Inc. The purpose of this contract is to provide advanced additive manufacturing capabilities to the Stennis Space Center (SSC), which will enable the production of complex geometry components in alloys suitable for testing in the field.

The DMP Flex 200 will support innovators at SSC in printing components and prototypes for technology development.

Work Details
The DMP Flex 200 is an Additive Manufacturing System that allows the use of standard alloys pre-validated by 3D Systems, as well as the development of proprietary materials. Key features include:
- An inert build and supply chamber that maintains an inert environment throughout the sintering process, protecting both the material and the process.
- An air interlock chamber for adding and removing materials, preventing oxidation or exposure to ambient conditions.
- A closed build chamber that enhances safety by protecting operators from fine powder particles.

The equipment will be delivered to Stennis Space Center, MS, 39529.

Lead time not to exceed 20 weeks.
