DLyte 100PRO metal surface polishing machine

Background
The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) is creating the Biomedical Engineering and Technology Acceleration Center (BETA) to provide rapid manufacturing equipment accessible for researchers at NIH. The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain a metal polishing system using electropolishing with dry media to enhance the surface finish of metal parts fabricated at the BETA Center. The specifications and quantities are listed in the attached Statement of Need.

Work Details
The BETA center requires a DLyte surface polishing machine with a working volume of 180mm diameter x 80mm height inside a system with dimensions of 950mm x 710mm x 2,394mm. The system needs to use DLyte patented technology to dry electropolish metal parts, process parts with complex geometries, apply a mirror-like finish while retaining all dimensions and tolerances of the original part, run dry and dry suspension electrolyte medias, and have a 230V L6-30 power connector. Additionally, various accessories including Dry Suspension Electrolyte Cathode Sets, dry electrolytes for different materials, holder plate, finger clamp, delivery, installation, and one maintenance visit are required.
