This solicitation is for a new construction requirement for the modernization of elevators at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Headquarters (HQ) on Fort Belvoir, VA. The elevators are located at the DLA HQ Complex located at 8725 John J. Kingman Road, Ft. Belvoir, VA 22060 and require modernization. The existing elevator components have been operational since 1995 and are reaching the end of their life expectancy.

Additional Information: The requirement will be for twenty five (25) elevators spread across nine elevator banks located in three different buildings to include 22 passenger and two freight traction elevators, as well as, a three story parking garage containing a single hydraulic passenger elevator with a capacity of 3,500 lbs.

The proposed project will be a competitive, firm-fixed price (FFP). In accordance with DFARS 236.204, the Construction Magnitude is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The requirement will be solicited using the Two-DLA HQ Elevator Modernization Design-Build Selection Procedures in FAR Subpart 36.3; which means it will be two phased. The requirement will be unrestricted. The period of performance for all work is expected to be around 36 months.
