Background
The MacDill 6th Communication Squadron requires an upgrade to the existing power generation system for the Hemp Shelter. The goal is to replace the current system, which consists of two 30kW microturbines, with a new 60kW diesel generator to ensure a reliable and adequate power supply for operations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to perform the following services:
- Remove two existing 30kW Capstone microturbines (SN:003085 and 003086) and the associated automatic transfer switch from the Hemp Shelter (Bldg. 578).
- Remove the existing diesel fuel tank located outside of the shelter and the existing diesel day tank located inside (Bldg. 578).
- Install one (1) new 60kW diesel generator in place of the two existing microturbines.
- Install one (1) new 200-amp, 480-volt, three-phase automatic transfer switch.
- Install a new (408-gallon) diesel fuel tank and day tank, including all necessary fuel piping and connections.
- Provide all required engineering and drawings for the project.
- Secure all necessary electrical and fuel permits and manage all related inspections.

Deliverables include:
- One (1) new Caterpillar Diesel Generator (Model D60 GC), rated at 60KW standby, 277/480 Volts, 3 Phase, with a weatherproof, sound-attenuated enclosure and a 408-gallon UL142 listed fuel tank.
- One (1) new ASCO 300 Series Automatic Transfer Switch, rated at 200-Amp, 480 volts, 3 Phase, in a NEMA 3R enclosure.
- Completion of a pre-start inspection and system startup.
- A successful 4-hour on-site resistive load test.
- All necessary project drawings, permits, and inspection approvals.
- A two-year / 1000-hour Caterpillar Extended Service Coverage and an ASCO Two-Year Limited Warranty.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to be completed by April 22, 2026.
