Background
The Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), is issuing a justification and approval for a sole source contract to Fairbanks Morse, LLC, doing business as Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD).

The goal of this contract is to provide lifecycle support for diesel engine systems used by the US Navy, Military Sealift Command (MSC), and United States Coast Guard (USCG). This acquisition aims to enhance the effectiveness of critical diesel engine programs such as the Diesel Readiness System (DRS) and Diesel Maintenance Strategy (DMS).

Work Details
The contract will encompass engineering, logistics, training, and integrated program management services. Specific tasks include:
- Lifecycle support for diesel engines and related shipboard auxiliary systems.
- Engineering and technical services to address known and emergent issues with FMD engine lines.
- Logistics support services to ensure operational readiness.
- Engine training services for personnel involved in maintenance and operation.
