DHS TSA - UKG Kronos Workforce Central & Clocks - MRAS

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), through the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to evaluate potential solutions for the renewal and expansion of the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) existing UKG Kronos Workforce Central systems. This initiative is part of TSA's broader goal to enhance its Information Technology infrastructure, specifically within its Application Development Division. The primary objective is to maintain and upgrade the current suite of software licenses and hardware, ensuring TSA continues to effectively manage workforce scheduling, timekeeping, and related functionalities.

The scope of work involves renewing TSA's current UKG Kronos Workforce Central software licenses while also procuring additional licenses for UKG Kronos Workforce Pro and associated hardware such as clocks. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing Gold-level software and hardware maintenance support, which includes 24/7 access to a customer portal for security patches and software upgrades, as well as technical support available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The procurement also calls for products that integrate seamlessly with TSA's IT platform, utilizing Personal Identity Verification (PIV) solutions alongside biometric verification methods like facial recognition and fingerprint scanning.

In addition to maintaining existing systems, the contractor must supply additional licenses that support various functionalities such as employee scheduling, mobile access, timekeeping management, and integration with DHS payroll systems including GovTA or USDA National Finance Center (NFC). The system should enable automatic identification of staffing shortages and facilitate their resolution through automated communication with management. Furthermore, it should comply with all security protocols while being accessible from secure locations via personal computers or smartphones.

This contract is essential in supporting TSA's established electronic Time and Attendance System (eTAS), which utilizes multiple Kronos Workforce Central licenses without necessitating further programming adaptations. By ensuring a robust integration with existing systems like PIV cards for biometrics verification during officer punch-in/out workflows, this initiative aims at streamlining operations in alignment with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) requirements while addressing employee anomalies effectively.
