Purchase Agency: U.S. Coast Guard (USCG)
Reason for Purchase: The USCG is constructing a new facility at Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) and needs to relocate materials and equipment from their current leased hangar and lodge to the new campus.
Work to be Acquired: The contractor will provide logistics services for the relocation, including moving office materials, tools, and equipment from Hangar Building 355 and Building 6 to Hangar Building 190 and Administrative Building 191.
Timeframe of Acquisition: The physical move will occur during a one-week period to be determined by the USCG prior to July 1, 2023. The overall move will take place between August 1, 2023, and October 31, 2023. Any specific items that need to be moved at a different date will be completed by December 1, 2023.
Place of Performance/Delivery: The relocation services will take place at Point Mugu, California, specifically from the current location at Point Mugu to the new campus located approximately two miles away.
Notable Information: The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, tools, materials, transportation, supervision, and management necessary for the relocation. Approximately 75,000 pounds of weight will need to be moved. The contractor will also assist in planning and executing the relocation, including providing support for disassembly, packing, transport, installation, and reassembly of mission unique material and equipment. Additionally, they will be responsible for protecting floors, walls, furniture within Navy and USCG owned buildings during the move.
