The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is seeking professional support services for its Chief Data Officer Directorate (CDOD) to improve the agency's data posture and strategic prioritization. The CDOD aims to secure, manage, share, and create a common language for data within the department. The work to be acquired includes providing support in areas such as data governance, data strategy, data quality, data analytics, and data architecture. The contractor will assist in developing strategic documents and guidance, supporting the Data Governance Council, conducting data maturity assessments, implementing a data inventory program, and developing data architecture and ontology. The period of performance for this task order is from September 30, 2023, to September 29, 2024. The primary place of performance will be at the DHS headquarters in Springfield, VA.

This opportunity provides a comprehensive scope of work for professional support services to enhance the DHS's data management capabilities. The contractor will play a crucial role in developing strategic plans and roadmaps, improving data governance processes, supporting the Data Inventory Program (DIP), and developing data architecture and ontology. The contractor will also assist in implementing federal data requirements and supporting the DHS Chief Data Officer Council. Additionally, there is an option for surge support for emerging tasks that may arise due to changing priorities or legislative requirements. The contractor will be required to provide qualified personnel, including a project manager, subject matter expert III, and solution architect. Security requirements are also outlined in the statement of work.
