Vocera Communication Support Services

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for Vocera Communication Support Services at the Northern Arizona VA Healthcare System (NAVAHCS).

The NAVAHCS operates an enterprise Vocera communication platform that facilitates hands-free, real-time voice and messaging communication across various departments to ensure timely responses to Veterans' care needs. The goal of this contract is to replace outdated communication devices and maintain the operational integrity of the Vocera system while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, software, licensing, configuration, integration, training, documentation, and support for a fully functional Vocera V5000 Smartbadge communication solution. Key tasks include:
1. Provisioning 450 V5000 Smartbadges and associated peripherals such as batteries and chargers.
2. Offering premier level support for Voice, SIP Telephony, Platform Messaging, and Device Messaging over a base year plus four option years.
3. Implementing and configuring the V5000 Smartbadge system to integrate with existing infrastructure.
4. Designing workflows and call flows for up to 35 units/ancillary departments.
5. Providing training and post-deployment assessment for staff on the use of the Vocera system.
6. Ensuring compliance with VA security requirements including FIPS validation.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base year with four (4) option years available for extension at the discretion of the government.

Place of Performance
All onsite work will be performed at Northern Arizona VA Healthcare System located at 500 N. Hwy 89, Prescott, AZ 86313. Remote services may also be conducted from the contractor's facilities.
