DFAS-CO Brand Name Mail Screening Booth   2

Background
The Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the procurement of a Mail Screening Booth to enhance mail screening operations. The goal of this contract is to improve operator safety by providing a filtered, enclosed workspace for inspecting incoming mail, thereby reducing exposure to hazardous substances. This requirement is solicited as other than full and open competition.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide one (1) MRB3060 Mail Screening Booth with the following specifications:
- Model Name: MRB Series
- Description: Self-contained HEPA filtered downdraft and backdraft unit that protects operator breathing zone during mail screening operations.
- Characteristics: Patented DualDraw symmetrical airflow system.
- Dimensions: 30” W x 60” L x 78” H, including caster wheels.
- Work Surface Area: 30” x 60” with five patented, perforated C-channel grates.
- Table Capacity: 500-1,000 lbs.
- Cabinet: 14-16-gauge uni-body construction.
- Finish: Blue polyurethane/epoxy paint.
- Pre-Filter: One (1) 24” X 24” X 2” pleated pre-filter, 40% efficient to 0.7 microns.
- Activated Carbon Filter: One (1) 24” X 24” X 2” heavy-duty filter and one (1) high-efficiency particulate air filter, certified HEPA efficient to 0.3 microns.
- Electrical: Pre-wired with thermally protected manual motor starters; requires NEMA 5-20P plug.
- Motor: One (1) 1.5 HP, thermally protected, single phase motor.
- Lighting: Standard overhead lighting included.
- Air Volume: Nominal CFM of 2500 – self-contained.
- Warranty: One year parts and labor. The contractor shall also provide an annual preventative service plan and warranty extension along with quarterly filter kits.

Period of Performance
The contract service should be completed within 45 days after contract award.
