The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is extending the period of performance for Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) 70T04021A7672N002 with Battelle Memorial Institute. This extension is necessary to ensure uninterrupted support during the transition to a new contract, as Battelle is the only responsible source capable of providing the required services.

Work Details
Battelle provides Development Test and Evaluation Support Services (DTSS) which include:

Test Execution: Specialized personnel such as test engineers, explosive ordinance experts, and chemists are engaged to plan, execute, and report on approximately 150 formal tests and about 650 other mission-support events annually. This also encompasses laboratory oversight and technical support for equipment operation in laboratory facilities, along with test article development and maintenance.

2. Core Support: Approximately eighteen key personnel provide program management support and specialized engineering assistance for various test events. These services are critical for maintaining TSA's operational effectiveness and compliance with standards.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is extended from August 12, 2021, to February 11, 2027.
