Detail Design and Construction of Expeditionary Sea Bases (ESB) 6-8   3

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a sole source solicitation to National Steel and Shipbuilding Company, Inc. (NASSCO), 2798 Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92113 for the detail design and construction of Expeditionary Sea Bases (ESB) 6-8 and associated long lead time material, spares and repair parts, engineering support, and special studies. The proposed contract action will contain one (1) ESB with the option for construction of two (2) additional ESBs if authorized and appropriated by Congress in the future. This sole source solicitation will be limited to NASSCO and will be awarded without full and open competition pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
