This sources sought synopsis is issued solely for information and planning purposes to gain knowledge of potential sources capable of fully satisfying a potential requirement. This is not a solicitation announcement nor does it promise a solicitation in the future. Quotes are not being requested or accepted at this time and a contract will not be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. All submissions will become Government property and will not be returned. The government will not provide any feedback or evaluations regarding the information submitted.

Prior Government contract work is not required for submitting a response under this sources sought notice.

Congressional leadership and the US Capitol Police (USCP) requested that the signage throughout the campus be replaced to to aid the over 3 million visitors to the Capitol campus. The signage is to meet the following: signage at entrances are to be consolidated; the visual importance of security and the prohibited items list on the signs have a clear hierachy of information; and that there be a unified aesthetic across the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) campus. AOC's Office of the Chief Engineer (OCE) completed a programming phase which gathered all of the stakeholders and developed a concept signage package which includes locations, types, and quantities of signs.

The Contractor shall provide design development, shop drawings, fabrication, and installation for AOC wide signage improvements. The concept signage package includes nine sign types to be used at approximately 240 locations throughout the Capitol campus. The scope of work is for four separate Task Orders. Task Order 1 is to provide design services for the modification of the concept design signage package for the Senate jurisdiction only. Following the approval by Senate leadership, Task Order 2 is to prepare thcan commence which is for the messaging for each sign type at the designated location for each jurisdiction. Task Order 3 is to prepare shop drawings for each sign at every location. Task Order 4 is for the fabrication and installation for all of the signs.

Background
The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is responsible for the maintenance, operation, development, and preservation of the United States Capitol and its surrounding facilities. Congressional leadership and the US Capitol Police (USCP) have requested improvements to signage throughout the Capitol campus to assist over 3 million visitors annually. The goal is to consolidate signage at entrances, establish a clear hierarchy of information regarding security and prohibited items, and create a unified aesthetic across the AOC campus. A concept signage package has been developed that includes locations, types, and quantities of signs.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide design development, shop drawings, fabrication, and installation for AOC-wide signage improvements. The scope includes four separate Task Orders:

- Task Order 1 involves design services for modifying the concept design signage package for the Senate jurisdiction.
- Task Order 2 focuses on preparing messaging for each sign type at designated locations.
- Task Order 3 requires preparation of shop drawings for each sign at every location.
- Task Order 4 encompasses fabrication and installation of all signs.

Period of Performance
Task Order 1: December 1, 2026 - April 30, 2026; Task Order 2: May 1, 2027 - September 30, 2027; Task Order 3: October 1, 2027 - February 28, 2028; Task Order 4: March 1, 2028 - September 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
Work for Task Orders 1, 2 & 3 will occur at the Contractor’s facility. Work for Task Order 4 will take place at various sites on the Capitol Campus.
