Design/Build – Convert B271 2nd Floor for Space Acquisition Mission, Los Angeles SFB

Background
The Air Force Installation Contracting Center (AFICC) and the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) are seeking qualifications from small businesses to determine if there are sufficient capable firms for a potential project set aside for small businesses or other socio-economic categories.

The goal is to find firms experienced in multi-disciplinary renovation design and construction services of secure controlled spaces, compliant with Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) / Intelligence Community Specification (ICS) 705 standards, and familiar with Department of Defense and Air Force Facility criteria related to Secure Area Renovations.

Work Details
The project involves a Design/Build renovation of the 2nd floor of Building 271 at Los Angeles Space Force Base for the Space Acquisition Mission.

The scope includes:
- Renovation of approximately 76,722 square feet to create secure controlled space with open workstation areas, secure network server rooms, and non-secure common areas.
- Selective demolition of interior walls and replacement with new walls.
- Installation of raised flooring systems, ceiling systems, lighting, electrical systems, HVAC ductwork, plumbing, interior doors and frames.
- Upgrading fire alarm systems and communication networks.
- Providing furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), and implementing cybersecurity measures compliant with ICD / ICS 705.
- Construction of a 3,200 square foot temporary swing space facility for non-secure office work during renovations.
- Compliance with UFC 1-200-02 High Performance and Sustainable Building (HPSB) requirements including third-party certification.

Period of Performance
The estimated period of performance is 730 calendar days.
