Background
The solicitation is for a Design-Bid-Build Request For Proposal for the renovation of Bldg 5546 Basement at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. The renovation is to accommodate the AFGSC ICBM Requirements Division (A5I), responsible for Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD). The work includes renovating internal building functional layout to support GBSD controlled area space requirements, modifying exterior building envelope, entryways, windows, selective internal walls, and wiring to meet ICD/ICS 705 technical standards. It also involves repairing HVAC distribution systems with emergency shut-off capability, fire suppression system, electrical panels, plumbing systems, mechanical and electrical rooms, installation of an Intrusion Detection System, and cybersecurity for facility-related control systems. Additionally, it includes abatement of asbestos and lead paint if found in the existing structure.

Work Details
