Design and Construction of new Laundry Facility at Holston Army Ammunition Plant

Background
The Army Corps of Engineers Norfolk District is conducting Market Research to identify potential Sources for the construction of a new Laundry Facility at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Kingsport, TN. Holston Army Ammunition Plant (HSAAP) is a Government-Owned, Contractor-Operated (GOCO) explosives production facility located in Kingsport, TN. The new Laundry Facility will house new and relocated laundry equipment to support routine and specialty laundering requirements of a variety of worker garments and production area fabrics utilized in conjunction with explosives production operations.

Work Details
The project involves the design and construction of a new Laundry Facility at Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Kingsport, TN. The Laundry Facility will include laundry equipment such as a scale, hot water tank(s) with controls, several washer/extractors, and dryers. Additionally, the building will include cutting and sewing rooms, clothing storage, bathrooms, a separate boiler room (as required), and a breakroom.
Ramps and loading dock are required for safe transport of wheeled buggies within the building and to/from change houses.
The project will be solicited in the fourth quarter of FY24 or first quarter of FY25 with an anticipated contract period of performance (PoP) for 852 calendar days.

Period of Performance
The proposed contract period of performance (PoP) will be for 852 calendar days.
