Description

DCMR Driveway and Stormwater Drainage Rehabilitation. Work includes stormwater drainage investigation, repair, and upgrade; full removal and replacement of deteriorated asphalt pavement (minimum 50 mm compacted thickness); subgrade and base course rehabilitation; replacement of existing stone edging with 150 mm concrete kerbs; entrance apron asphalt works; and full site restoration of landscaping, irrigation, lighting, and utilities. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and miscellaneous costs required to complete the installation as specified herein..

Background
The U.S. Embassy in Canberra is undertaking the DCMR Driveway and Stormwater Drainage Rehabilitation project to maintain the safety, functionality, and long-term serviceability of its facilities. The existing driveway has experienced significant deterioration due to inadequate stormwater drainage, leading to operational and safety risks. This project aims to rectify these issues through comprehensive repairs and upgrades.

Work Details
The contractor will perform the following tasks:

- Conduct a stormwater drainage investigation.
- Repair and upgrade the drainage system.
- Fully remove and replace deteriorated asphalt pavement (minimum 50 mm compacted thickness).
- Rehabilitate subgrade and base course.
- Replace existing stone edging with 150 mm concrete kerbs.
- Execute entrance apron asphalt works.
- Restore landscaping, irrigation, lighting, and utilities.

All work must comply with relevant Australian Standards and ACT regulatory requirements.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award and complete it within 30 calendar days. The entire work must be completed no later than four months from the notice to proceed.
