Background
Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Atlantic (NAVFAC LANT) intends to issue a request for proposal for a Design‐Bid‐Build, Firm Fixed Price contract for construction of P-20001 Deployable Air Base Systems-Facilities, Equipment, and Vehicles (DABS-FEV) Storage Facilities at Keflavik, Iceland. The project will support the mission of the Deployable Air Base Systems – Facilities, Equipment and Vehicle (DABS-FEV) and will construct humidity-controlled warehouses, general purpose warehouses, and a refueling vehicle maintenance shop to accommodate airfield infrastructure at Icelandic Coast Guard Security Zone of Keflavik International Airport, Iceland.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the construction of humidity-controlled warehouses, general purpose warehouses, and a refueling vehicle maintenance shop. The facilities will include fire alarm systems, fire detection systems, door-open monitoring systems, electrical load shedding systems, lightning protection, and overvoltage protection for power and telecommunications systems. Miscellaneous structures include a refueling station, a fire pump house, two guard houses, a hazardous materials storage building. Supporting facilities include utilities, pavements, site improvements, environmental mitigation, vehicle wash facilities, vehicle fuel storage tanks, a FORCE testing structure, and information systems.
Sustainable principles are integrated into the design and construction of the project.

The completion time for this contract is approximately 1,053 days after notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The project site is located in the Security Zone within Keflavik International Airport, Iceland.
