Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs requires contractor support with moving and relocation services. Services include disassembly and assembly of furniture, disconnecting and reconnecting of IT equipment, disconnecting and reconnecting electricity from workstations, and relocation of workstations and office furniture. The Contractor shall provide non-personal services, laborers, contractor operated vehicles, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, to perform relocation and moving services for VACO Campus as defined in the PWS. These services are critical to the realignment of the VA organizational footprint within the Washington D.C. area.

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking contractor support for moving and relocation services as part of its mission to realign the VA organizational footprint within the Washington D.C. area.

The Office of Administration, specifically the Office of Human Resources and Administration, Operations, Security, and Preparedness (OA/HRA/OSP), is responsible for providing logistical support for office moves. This contract aims to facilitate these essential services through an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract type.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a range of relocation and moving services for the VACO campus, including:
- Disassembly and assembly of furniture
- Disconnecting and reconnecting IT equipment
- Disconnecting and reconnecting electricity from workstations
- Relocation of workstations and office furniture
- Loading and unloading trucks to move items to and from VACO office buildings
- Delivering/hauling office furniture, workstations, IT equipment, and supplies
- Removal and reinstallation of select desk trays
- Assisting with palletizing excess property in preparation for delivery
- Setting up and reassembling conference room and office furniture according to planned layouts
- Maintaining an accurate inventory list of furniture or equipment being excessed to GSA or local landfills
- Providing all necessary packing materials for laptops, desktops, and other electronic devices. The contractor must ensure compliance with VA security regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base period of twelve (12) months with four (4) additional twelve-month option periods.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the Washington D.C. area, including specific locations such as the VA Warehouse in Landover, MD; GSA Warehouse in Springfield, VA; and local landfills.
