The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District (NWS) intends to issue a Design Bid Build (DBB), RFP for the construction of the Department of Veteran's Affairs American Lake (VAAL) Phase 2A Site Development at Lakewood, Washington state.

It has been determined that responses to this acquisition will be Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) under the NAICS code 238910.

Project Description:

USACE Seattle District has a construction requirement at Department of Veteran's Affairs American Lake (VAAL) which includes demolition and hazardous materials abatement of five (5) existing buildings, existing parking area and underground utilities. The work also includes but is not limited to construction grading, pavements, utilities, lighting, and landscaping for a 650-vehicle parking lot and 1000 feet of two-lane roadway. Utilities will include drainage, sanitary sewer, watermain, electrical, telecommunication, steam and geothermal.

In accordance with Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 236.204, the estimated magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The NAICS code for this project is 238910, Site Preparation Contractors, with a small business size standard of $16.5M. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price.

On or About 4 March 2022, the RFP documents for this project will be available via the SAM.gov under RFP number W912DW22R0004. Proposals will be due no sooner than 30 calendar days after actual solicitation issue date. NO CD'S OR HARD COPIES WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE. Downloads are available only through the SAM.gov website. Offerors are responsible for checking the SAM.gov website frequently for any update(s) to this Notice.
