Department of State 2024 Design-Build Contract for United States Embassy Selective Improvements Project in Buenos Aires, Argentina   2

Background
The U.S. Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) is requesting submissions to pre-qualify firms for Design-Build Construction Services for the Design-Build construction for the United States Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina. OBO seeks to commission our nation’s top constructors to produce facilities of outstanding quality and value. This acquisition is available for full and open competition.

Work Details
The project consists of upgrades to MEPT, FA systems and end-of life equipment to meet code and OBO requirements, although full compliance is not anticipated. The HVAC work will require a new roof penthouse to house new safety equipment.
Security upgrades of the project include, but are not limited to, construction of a new MCAC (Main Compound Access Control) and renovation of a basement area to provide a safe area.
The scope of work includes renovation of the consular section which requires demolition and reconstruction of the exiting teller window hardline and new hardline.
The project requires a phasing strategy utilizing spaces within the Chancery building fit-out for swing space. Contractor will be responsible to phasing strategy and execution.
The Contractor will be responsible for obtaining all permits (such as utility, construction, occupancy) licenses, and permissions to execute the work.

The construction project will be performed at Av. Colombia 4300 (C1425GMN) Buenos Aires, Argentina.
