Description

THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE (DOS), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) is requesting submissions to pre-qualify firms for Design-Build Construction Services for the construction of a New Embassy Compound (NEC) in Port Louis, Mauritius. The Project is described below. OBO seeks to commission our nation's top constructors to produce facilities of outstanding quality and value.

Background
The U.S. Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) is requesting submissions to pre-qualify firms for Design-Build Construction Services for the construction of a New Embassy Compound (NEC) in Port Louis, Mauritius. The project is available for full and open competition. The project seeks to commission top constructors to produce facilities of outstanding quality and value.

Work Details
The project will consist of the design, construction, and commissioning of an approximate 6,700 gross square meter new office building, storage and maintenance facilities, vehicle and pedestrian access control facilities, utility and site infrastructure, recreation facility, and covered and uncovered vehicle parking. The site is approximately 12 acres and the project shall achieve a minimum LEED Silver Certification.
The NEC site is a previously undeveloped greenfield, former sugar cane plantation located adjacent to the Bagatelle Mall of Mauritius in Moka Smart City, Moka District.
The estimated construction cost is $170 - $205 million.

The construction projects will be performed at Port Louis, Mauritius.
