Dental Services at Mingo Job Corp Center   3

Background
The Mingo Job Corps Center, located in Puxico, MO, is a U.S. Department of Labor program designed to assist young people in need of various services, including basic education, vocational skills training, and healthcare. The dental care services are required on a weekly basis to assist students in attaining and maintaining optimal oral health. The Contractor Dentist, Dental Hygienist, and Dental Assistant must provide dental care services for all students on the Center in accordance with applicable Federal laws/regulations, OSHA and HIPAA requirements, state and local laws, and guidelines of the American Dental Association.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide dental services including all procedures authorized by the State Board of Dentistry with an emphasis on early detection, diagnosis of oral health problems, basic oral health care, dental hygiene, prevention/education, elective oral examination, treatment of basic oral disease and correction of oral health conditions that may represent employability barriers. They must also comply with Job Corps infection control policies and procedures.
Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining patient privacy for all assessments, exams, and procedures; ensuring that dental equipment is properly cleaned and scheduled for maintenance; reporting adverse student behavior incidents to the Health & Wellness Manager or Contracting Officer's Representative; participating in DOL and Forest Service assessments; maintaining malpractice/professional liability insurance and general liability insurance for each individual and/or company working on students listed as a covered entity.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the base year is from June 01, 2024 to May 31, 2025. The contract includes four one-year options which may be exercised at the sole discretion of the Government.
