Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for the procurement of Dental Polishing Scalers to support the Bakersfield VA Clinic, which is part of the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. The clinic provides various health services, including dental care, and requires these scalers for preventative and professional cleaning performed by dentists.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that the clinic has the necessary equipment to maintain oral hygiene and prevent dental diseases among patients.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide six Dental Polishing Scalers that meet specific salient characteristics outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW) section B.2. The salient characteristics include:
- Power Requirements: 115V, 60Hz, 1 Phase, 1.0A (Must be 110V-115V)
- Handpiece Cable Length: Minimum 6.5 ft
- Auxiliary Footswitch Cable Length: Minimum 6.0 ft
- Water Supply Line: Minimum 8.0 ft
- Water Requirements: 20 to 40 psi (Minimum)
- Water Temperature: 77 degrees F
- Remote Communication Frequency: 2.4 GHz
- Includes a 360-degree Rotatable Handpiece
- Dimensions Approx: 14” D x 8” W x 5” H

The total quantity required is one system.

Period of Performance
The delivery date for the scalers is set for August 1, 2026, which is approximately 117 days after receipt of order.

Place of Performance
The products will be delivered to the Activation Warehouse located at c/o Hansen’s Moving and Storage, Inc., 3501 N. Sillect Ave., Bakersfield, CA 93308.
