Dental Laboratory Services for the Mid-Atlantic Tribal Health Center and the Monacan Health Center   3

Background
The Mid-Atlantic Service Unit is transitioning to direct care services by establishing two comprehensive health care clinics and four modular health stations for seven newly federally recognized tribes.

This contract aims to acquire dental laboratory services necessary for the provision of quality and comprehensive dental care to patients at these clinics.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide fabricated dental products, specifically high-quality partials and dentures, ensuring they fit well and meet the required specifications.

The evaluation of quality will be based on retention, resistance, stability, occlusion, esthetics, and the amount of adjustment needed. The contractor must process over 50 prostheses per month and handle multiple fabrication steps including bite blocks, wax rims, try-ins, finishing, and processing of final prostheses.

Quality assurance checks must be conducted at each fabrication step before returning products to the dental clinic. The contractor is required to inform the dental clinic promptly about any fabrication issues to minimize patient care interruptions. The maximum allowable remakes per year is capped at 10.

Specific timeframes for various steps include:
- Cast Framework - 6 days;
- Complete Cast Partial - 11 days;
- Denture Try In - 4 days;
- Denture Process & Finish - 3 days;
- Crown & Bridge (porcelain) - 10 days.

Occasional same-day delivery or overnight shipping may be necessary.

Period of Performance
The total duration of this contract shall not exceed 5 years and 6 months.
